Typical manufacturing process flow using wet chemcial processes
Wet processes are less expensive than the vapor deposition techniques previously used for the buffer (window) and absorber layers in CIS / CIGS cell production. They are also extremely versatile. You can use them with a wide range of substrates (glass, metal or polymer) of almost any size, in batch production or low-cost roll-to-roll (polyimide, copper foil, stainless steel) manufacturing.
In addition, wet processes give you excellent control over deposition rates and layer thickness distribution. This allows you to fine-tune the parameters of your cell for the maximum performance.
